Smear layer removal in root canal treatment is required to aid the diffusion of intracanal medicament and help sealer penetrate into dentinal tubules. The need for irrigants important facilitate smear canal. Various methods have been proposed some articles, but their application apical third still challenges many clinicians due complexity This study aimed analyze effect temperature passive ultrasonic irrigation (PUI) activation EDTA 17% solution removal. Twenty-four extracted mandibular premolars were decoronated standard length 14 mm. preparation canals was completed with crown-down technique using ProTaper FHU file F3 (30/.09). done NaOCl 5.25% solution. samples divided four groups, namely 25 ºC (group 1), 37 2), PUI 3), EDTA17% 4). observed under scanning electron microscopy (SEM) scored ordinally from 1-5.
